East Union Technology Coordinator

 

The East Union Technology Coordinator demonstrates that he/she meets the following standards and criteria:

b. Demonstrates professional and ethical conduct as defined by state law and individual district policy.

e. Collaborates with students, families, colleagues, and communities to enhance student learning.

 

The job of the Technology Coordinator also includes the following responsibilities:

  1. Assist with documents associated with Technology funding (E-rate, grants)
  2. Monitor wireless access points
  3. Monitor server
  4. Monitor firewall alerts (i.e.,web-sites that students attempt to access that are inappropriate)
  5. Re-image computers
  6. Troubleshoot non-working computers/printers/servers
  7. Chair/co-chair technology committee meetings on a regular basis
  8. Update technology inventory list with new and discarded inventory
  9. Troubleshoot printer problems
  10. Research and study data concerning methods of implementing up-to-date technology to keep staff and students moving towards 21st Century technology
  11. Purchase/stock/replace printer cartridges
  12. Assist staff and students with software and hardware
  13. Plan/implement technology professional development
  14. Update computers 
  15. Attend area technology meetings to learn new ideas and collaborate with fellow technology directors/coordinators
  16. Attend professional development and training sessions for hardware and software implementation
  17. Keep administration informed of current technology needs
  18. Coordinate and maintain the district’s technology purchases.
