Title: Technology Assistant

Reports to:  Technology Coordinator 

 

Requirements:

  • Earned a High School diploma or advanced degree
  • Demonstrate good communication skills 
  • Must be courteous and cooperative with students, school staff, and supervisors.
  • Must be able to handle and prioritize multiple requests 
  • Must be able to attend to detail and take tasks from start to completion in a timely manner
  • Able to lift at least 25 pounds

 

Essential Functions

 

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Assists the Technology Coordinator with everyday and yearly maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment that falls within the category of the Technology Department (includes, but not limited to: laptop computers, desktop computers, printers, iPods, and iPads.)
  2. Troubleshoots issues that students and staff may have with their computers, software, and peripherals  
  3. Learns to use software that assists the technology department with updates, computer management, and the software that is used within the classrooms
  4. Assists staff and students with installed software
  5. Assists with management of the website 
  6. Assists with district Google sites

  1. Adheres to board policies, district procedures, and contractual obligations
  2. Demonstrates professional and ethical conduct as defined by state law and individual district policy
  3. Contributes to efforts to achieve district and building goals
  4. Demonstrates an understanding of and respect for all learners and staff
